Specimen Hunter's Handbook

Post by Mark »

This dropped through the letter box today, the 'Specimen Hunter's Handbook' edited by Trevor Housby. A 1987 first edition used book in like new condition for only £3.18, a bargain I thought at the time. 33 years old, blimey.

That is absolutely a bargain Mark, there are some big names that have contributed to the book!

A very good book at an amazingly silly price. Well found.

Good find for very little money Mark! I vaguely remember loaning that from our local library though I can't recall the articles. Some good names involved. Enjoy it and let us know if it's full of pearls :Hat:

Nice one Mark. I always enjoyed his writing, even the Rubby Dubby Trail is on the shelf, a great bit of escapism.

Lovely book; I heard the sad news that Arthur Clarke of Norwich (‘Nobby’ as known to John Wilson) passes away last week.

The close season is an important and interesting time for the Angler who set out to catch big fish. It is a timely opportunity for him to make new tackle or renovate old. There are no end of jobs to do, apart from those horrible things called Gardens!
