Re: What are you reading?
Once I finish 'pike of broadland' the next read will be 'Savey' by John Harry. I had this book in the 90s and although bivvy carping interests me not one iota, it, as I remember, was a really good read, so I saw a copy on fleabay last week and now it's waiting for my attention.

'Successful Fishing for Salmon and Sea Trout' by Major Kenneth Dawson aka West Country. Published in 1951, it has some bizarre advice. I quite like the style of writing, I might buy some of his other works.

Just started re-reading my favourite book of all time ... I can think of no more relaxing and delightful read ... "The Wind in the Willows" by Kenneth Grahame.

Fantastic read Ashby. I'm tempted to reread that book myself now that you've mentioned it.

Moby Dick. It's a bit of an epic and written in flowery language, but a great read. I read it years ago and it's well worth reading again! Back then they thought whales were fish, so in its day it was arguably the best fishing novel ever penned.
