The Return of the Bill Watsons’ Floatmaker’s Manual.

Post by Fredline »

I have just bought this hardback copy of Bill Watsons’ book The Floatmakers Manual from “Worldofbooks”, they had 3 for sale at £2.99 each. I thought it was rude not to purchase a copy at that price. When I read the inscription I realised that it was the same copy I sold at the Redditch Tackle Fair about 5 years ago. Spooky or what?

You were obviously destined to be the official custodian of this great little book.

What a coincidence, spooky indeed! I must confess to being intrigued by which 'services' Roger might have been rendering to Chris? :surrender:

Wow I bet you never expected to see that again and what a good price they are normally so much more expensive, and quite a sought after little book I gather.

That is weird, I bet you sold it for more than £2.99 :Chuckle:

For a short period a few years ago they were changing hands for big money...one went for as much as £60!

I had thought them only available as a paper back....must be a dodgy memory....

There are two inscriptions, different handwriting and names. Seems like the book has a history we should know about :-)

It seems to me that float makers have a whole lot more in the way of fun - now where did I put that Norfolk reed? Oh yes! I actually don’t have any - I think this may need to rectified.
