Lovely little film Mark, I have six of the books you talk about.

I enjoyed that - thank you for posting. The only one I have is the John Bailey book which I bought in the mid 1980s.

I like both David Carl Forbes' writing and illustrations. His articles and books are worth seeking out.

I missed one or two minor roach books:
Dave Steuart's Osprey series, 'Roach', John Wilson's Roach, 'Dace and Rudd Fishing', and John Etherington's 'Big Chub and Roach'. Ken Whitehead did one on roach and dace, and there's another one on roach and dace that is Faddist's chapters from a much larger book.

There a recent book covering the rather odd pairing of barbel and roach that I haven't seen though roach is only covered in about 40 pages.

I hope to do some more book-related videos, possibly on a single author, subject or species as long as there aren't too many books in the subject.

I have got the Hilton and Venables books though they're minor works compared to many of the others. My library is scattered over several rooms and many bookcases....
