Just had mine arrive. They look guaranteed to deliver a tangle just as my best fish of the season arrives :fishing2: I think I may leave them on the novelty shelf!

As for Optonics, I still use my original Bamford conversions that Mr Stritton got from Les Bamford for me when I was about thirteen!

I bought one of my Mordex Merlin's from Derek 2 years ago, lovely chap... one of the founding members of the Carp Society wan't he...?

Derek was the original Essex regional organiser I believe, along with Del Romang. Remember the early meetings with some fondness.
