Toms River

Watched a good fishing film lately, why not talk about it in here.

Toms River

Post by Fred »

I have had this VHS tap of Toms River for a few years but have never
been abele to watch it because my VHS player wasn't working properly
but yesterday I got a refurbished LG VHS Player. after setting it up in the
mancave I was abele to sit back and watch it. Although Tom Williams is not a fisherman,
he's a river keeper but boy did he know all about the river and the fish that live in it.
The filming was exultantly done by Hugh Miles and runs though a year on the river.

Tom Williams did fish, mainly for salmon, but also for other fish as he mentions an annual friendly roach match against another angler.

This is available on YouTube and is a very good watch.
A little bit different to the usual fishing film.

There is also a book. I have been lucky to have been a Member of the Syndicate for some years.

Great program, Bob James was a consultant and helped Hugh with the filming.

Yes - is that is the soft back version?

A lovely piece of river - unfortunately the cost became too expensive at £1000 per year.
