1975 Anglia TV documentary

Here is a little gem I came across recently, it's not about fishing so much as a way of life and is a gentle narration of a diminishing era.

Thanks. Really enjoyed that. In some ways quite sad to think that much of this will be long gone, despite it being well within our lifetime. I remember Alan Dobie as the Victorian detective Cribb.

Funnily enough, this appeared on my suggested video’s on YouTube last week, it’s a great time capsule to a world we have lost in our relentless pursuit of modernity and technology.

I enjoyed that very much and I bet a lot harder times than the film would have you think.

Very true

He does say at the beginning “we have everything we need right here, except money”

Yep, and the same words I used when my wife needed a new dress or the kids were on the earole. :Thumb: :Chuckle:

:Hat: Absolutely absorbing and a little sad that his likes will never work the fens again. :Thumb:
