Peter Thomas

Post by Sandgroper »

I am not quite sure where to post this, but I am sure there are some who would like to know about it. Peter Thomas, the man who netted Dick Walker's record carp at Redmire, died the other day and his funeral was yesterday. (24th February)

I met Peter a number of times in the '60s and got on well with the guy and his dog Ross. I guess that he had a good innings as me made 90 years of age, but it is still a sad loss to his family and friends. His wife died last year and I suspect that Peter never got over his loss.
Eagles may soar but I will never get sucked into a jet engine.
