I found the details about it in the 1938-39 catalogue and it is called the Windsor.
I would like to know if the pole had the name written on it or was there a label maybe. Mine has no writing or shadows from a label, just the Allcocks stamp on the butt cap.
I have stripped the varnish off and cleaned the ferrules up. It looks to be really lovely cane underneath all the old stained varnish.
The whipping will be replaced with something close to the original green and in the same pattern. The ferrules are all very good and have come up lovely with a bit of a clean and have now been re bronzed.
The original tip was a Greenheart splice and has been broken and repaired so I have taken the spliced tip out and put a split cane one in to make the pole fully usable once completed.
