Re: Arbours for Grice and Young Reels
No, they are oversize in the width by about 0.5mm - so have to be sanded down, I used fine (disc) sandpaper, snapped the 2 halves together and sanded down, until a very good fit - ran the arbor as a unit, around the pillar supports to ensure that it would fit all round. Am using this as somewhat as a mentoring exercise for the young gentleman, design, manufacture, pricing, book-keeping, user instructions.
On this latter part, I have drafted out instruction for fitting "Speedia Arbor", which shouldn't be too dissimilar to others. I attached below, the sanding photograph used in the instruction leaflet.
By the way, I loaded my Narrow drum Speedia with 3.9 BS (I am still old fashioned and go with BS rather than dia) and cannot say that I had a problem with drum side recess. I don't think I would use tape anyway, as I have found in the past, that a sticky residue is either left or is sometimes extruded slightly from under the tape.

Me too. I may attach it to either of my AR Supremes or the Royal for tench at Bures next week.

Re: Arbours for Grice and Young Reels
Am I too late to the party for a Speedia wide arbor, Barbelseeker?
No problem if that's the case.

No - you are OK Russ,
I'm just collating a few orders, so that Jake can produce them on the same run.
Any more takers please.

Re: Arbours for Grice and Young Reels
I would very much like a couple for a wide drum if that is possible still, I had originally replied showing an interest but like a lot of other stuff I had lost track of itBarbelseeker wrote: ↑Fri Aug 07, 2020 9:04 am No - you are OK Russ,
