I happen to be a member of Bintry Mill and have been for the last 15 years.
I would be happy to meet up and show you the river, either on the day or sometime before.
We actually electro fished the river recently and turned up a good number of wild trout along with a few perch, but unfortunately not one roach.
The stretch is usually stocked with some brown trout throughout the season and these all have a tag near the dorsal fin and only these are to be taken. All wild fish are to be returned and hopefully this will help to build up the wild population.

We've caught some stonking trout in our millpools downstream in recent years and I have also had some small brownies. I think they're breeding down there. Somewhere here I have a picture of a good four pound plus brownie caught on a trotted piece of flake.
