French Dopper reel
Hi guys does anyone own and use a Dopper reel? .. would be interested to hear feedback on what type of fishing is best suited for one of these reels .. would it be to much to fish for chunky carp? Or is the reel best suited for the smaller species ? Cheers Steve

What do they know of fishing who know only one fish and one way to fish for him?

It can cope with big carp but I think it's much happier with chub, bream and moderate barbel. Like a lot of older reels the clutch is, let's say, unpredictable!
