Both looking superb; there is something about the finish on the Allcocks Wide Drum which just absolutely looks "right". Thanks for posting the photos Evert. Once again the effort and skill is evident.

What did you use to clean the Popular, wire wool?
I have just got one in the same condition as your before shots. Afraid of damaging the feint logo on the back plate.

Very nice Evert, I like starback reels, Im not sure why as they always seem the underdog in the reel world.
