The scaled back is just incredible and the attention to detail is impeccable as always.

I've been looking forward to seeing this one and it doesn't disappoint! But I know it's your work instantly, even before I saw the reel back detail, you certainly have your own style now.

Yes there is something rather Silex about it....except it no doubt works whereas presumably one was supposed to brake the Silex with the little finger.

Seeing the title I rather took it literally....I must be getting old. :-)

Gosh!

That reel is quite magnificent. The handles look as though they might be made of mahogany. Is that right?

I am the very lucky recipient of this gorgeous reel built by “Watermole” it is getting its first outing this afternoon on the bank .. commissioned to celebrate the life of my Dad I can only say it is a thing of real beauty pardon the pun .. I will couple it with a very special illustrated Paul Cook carp rod also in memory of my dad to become my go to ultimate carp set up a big thank you to 2 exceptional craftsmen who have created for me instant classics that will last a lifetime 👍
