Kennet?

Post by Cat »

Evening All,
Firstly, I apologise as however many times I try, or methods I use I am unable to post photos.
On my travels down south today (there be dragons!) I managed to pick up for nearly a song (a very fair price) a 'Kennet', I assume 'Perfection', but it only says Perfection. The rod is die straight, tight ferrules, correct length (with two equal length tips), good cane, whippings and intermediates okay, low bells, onion handle, agate tip only, red rubber butt. Kennet seems hand written around the circumference. Not perfect, but a good user. It looks very similar to a B James, but I'm wondering if it's a kit (and I can't find my Walker catalogues at the moment)? The Gentleman I purchased it from alluded it came from J B Walker, and that a lady there had re-whipped, or whipped it for a pack of cigarettes.
Any ideas?
Regards Cat
