Don't wish to sound pedantic but do you mean Peter Tombleson float rod ?. That had a detachable butt section and was 12' in length..Pentonhook wrote: ↑Thu Jul 19, 2012 10:19 am Thank's for the info gent's, and the link Lee.
What's intriguing, most cane rod's with a detachable butt are less
than 12 foot in length.
The B.James Kennet Perfection and Linsley Barbel Perfection both 11' 6",
Fred Crouch Barbel Perfection at 11' 3", Chapmans 500, 550 and the
Peter Stone 600, all 10' in length.
Apart from the FJT float rod, the only other cane rod I know of,
being 12 foot or more, was the B.James Peter Tomlinson Float Rod.
Unless any of you knowledgable chaps know of any other's.
Has anyone seen a Peter Tomlinson Float Rod, which I believe was
12' 3" when assembled, and extremely rare apparently.
Does anyone know the length of the Allcocks Harvey Torbett cane rod?
That Strikerite went cheap I thought.

Fairly sure Olivers of Knebworth made a 12' tench rod as a three piece but I may well be mistaken.
