Farlows is a London based company with a shop on Pall Mall.
What do they know of fishing who know only one fish and one way to fish for him?

I have a Forshaws - 11ft fly type rod. Not superior quality but as good as Allcocks (but not as Farlows) - at least the rod I have is!

They did all sorts - fly - spinning - float -

The first cane rod I got around 2014 was a forshaws of Liverpool, three pc, all built cane and there was still part of the name on the rod when I got it, it said green something, but I knew no better and scraped it off before the usual refurb. I renamed it the kingfisher, but don't ask me why.

Good evening,

I have two Forshaws Greencrest rods and I think they are really nice rods. I have seen it suggested that a lot of Forshaws rods were actually made by Aspindale's and if you put one of each rod side by side you would have trouble telling the difference and the Greencrest in the hand, to my mind, does have an Aspindale feel about it.

Regards,
John
