G Little Rods

Post by Aitch »

Does anyone have any info on rods made by G Little...?
I have a rod bearing his name on a brass butt cap inscribed with
"G Little (esq... I think, hard to make out)
Makers to HRH The Prince of Wales
15 (either Fretton or Stretton)lane,
London
The rod is a 4 piece whole cane and/or lancewood with ferrules that are more of a brass sleeve than the normal type ferrule...

Many thanks...

Turner's Fishing Tackle was the source.

This is the rod....

This is how it arrived with a bunch of other bits and bob's so I have no ideas as to how it should look, nor any ideas of which sort of rings it would have been fitted with...

Hi Chaps, I thank you both. My reel is & co .Trout brass plate- wind . I had researched it a little (terrible pun) but this is a better overall picture of the retailer not necessarly the maker.I have seen adverts and hook packets on that site but did not realise their age nearly 100 yrs old.
