The Dual

Post by Coral Maestro »

This is a combination rod consisting of a fly rod and spinning rod utilising 2 handles and 5 pieces in total. The short tip is missing the tip ring and the longest butt section has some intermediate whippings missing. I think it'll need a total makeover as the varnish has seen better days. In it's day I think it was a top quality rod and deserves bringing back up to that standard.

What do they know of fishing who know only one fish and one way to fish for him?

Would this have been a Salmon rod?
I go fishing not to find myself but to lose myself.

I think it would have been a trout rod.

That is a lovely rod. I am very envious.
If you have no grease with you, and your rings are full of ice, do not cut out the ice with a pen-knife but get your man to put the rings one by one in his mouth, and so to thaw the ice.

I'll amend that, there's two on the bay. One low priced the other not so.

A timely reminder, Gents, that Rule 5 of the TFF states :-

"5. Links or discussions to fishing tackle for sale on eBay or any other sites are not permitted."
"Beside the water I discovered (or maybe rediscovered) the quiet. The sort of quiet that allows one to be woven into the tapestry of nature instead of merely standing next to it." Estaban.
