Are Oliver Brothers Oliver’s of Knebworth?

Post by Damflask »

I now have my new rod.
So far as I can tell it’s a whole Cane butt and the rest in fibreglass.
Nonetheless it’s a beautiful thing and of excellent quality.
Has anyone seen this logo before?

Oliver's don't seem to have used a logo. Most of the rods I've seen just have script on the butt section. Have a quick search of the images on Google.

I have. And I can’t find any reference to that logo.

I'm sure someone on here will have seen it at some stage. Not one I've seen before

Yes, that’s the rod I have here!
I bought it on eBay but it’s the same rod and serial number.

It is a lovely looking rod Damflask you must use it and do an article on how it performs in the hand.

Ok!
I will accept the challenge. It will make a nice change from writing about Sheffield trees and getting locked up!

Ted Oliver was Oliver's of Knebworth and I think he sold the name on to someone who became Oliver’s Rods.
