Ogden Smith "The Regent" fly rod

Post by Newtocane »

I acquired one of these as part of a bundle from the auction site a few years back. It's 9'6" and came with two tips, unfortunately the fighting butt extension has been mislaid at some point. Could anyone give me any information on the rod?

I've used it a couple of times on the Lower Itchen Fishery and was fortunate enough to catch a Brown Trout each time, it's a delight to use!

I can't tell you anything about it I'm afraid but I also picked up the same model, very cheaply, at an auction a couple of years back. It's certainly a well made rod. At 9' 6" it's not a rod I would usually use but I couldn't resist such a bargain.

There's one on the auction site at the moment with only one tip section for £130!
