New to the forum

Post by EricW »

Hello everybody,
I've finally bitten the bullet after lurking around the edges for a while. What an interesting forum this is! I have a small but remorselessly expanding collection of cane rods. One or two are lined up for restoration, but my real interest is in using them. Dawn tomorrow will see a newly acquired Sowerbutts float rod hanging in the rests waiting for a plump Ashby canal roach to come by. Now that I have found myself here, I look forward to participating in this forum and hopefully contributing as much as I take from it. Have fun everyone and stay safe.

Welcome to the forum Eric.

I use to fish the Ashby canal regular in the 90's. Not sure what it is like now but there were some lovely roach in there. My biggest roach came in 1995 from the Stoke Golding area and was 1lb 14oz caught on hempseed, still my best roach to date.

Good luck for tomorrow. :Hat:

A hearty welcome, Sir.
