Welcome Steven.
I may be able help you with the landing net. I have this 'almost' teardrop net with a beautiful cane handle.
I would be happy to do a straight swap for your August Redmire weekend? Surely you can't turn that deal down ?

There are three things that improve with age: wine, friendship and water sense, and there's no short cut.

Hi PeteD
Thanks for your generous offer. I recall my fishing career starting with a similar net catching sticklebacks and bullheads in a local stream. Clearly it would be wrong of me to take such a treasured piece of tackle so I will pass up on your offer.

Re: New Member
Probably for the best Steven. The way my fishing is going at the moment I am more likely to catch more and bigger with that net in a puddle than I would on a weekend at Redmire.
Have a wonderful time. Like you I grew up reading about that mythical place. One day I hope to get there.
