Hello everyone!
Wonderful to join this merry band.
I grew up in Chesham, Buckinghamshire and fished the local River Chess (when no one was looking) along with Tring Reservoirs, Grand Union Canal, River Thames and the Colne Valley waters. In 1994 I moved to Connecticut in the USA which much to my surprise has some of the finest and most diverse fresh and saltwater angling opportunities.
My collection of traditional tackle items is quite modest but includes some cane fly and float rods, various reels and miscellaneous floats etc.
Looking forward to learning more and contributing where I am able.
Kind regards,
Iain

Welcome to the TFF Sir.
No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man.

Re: Hell everyone!
Hi Iain,
Remembering your childhood rivers got me thinking about mine. For me my whole world was the tiny Chesterfield canal running through the village of Misterton in Nottinghamshire. It was a sleepy village back then with very little happening … but the Chesterfield was amazing like a silver stream filled with roach and perch. It was for many years my whole world.
I sometimes think that all my fishing since as paled into significance. There is something special about being ten year old, totally in love with angling and spending your day caught up in nature.
Welcome to this website. It is a great one!!
Kindest regards,
DD
