Do you remember the tiger's eye gift shop in Chesham?
Yes I do... how long ago was that?

Cox's was the local bait & tackle store for years.

I lived in the area until about 1983 but my mum still lived there until about 2009

Are you my long lost twin? I also grew up in Chesham, fished the Chess (and Misbourne) both very quietly..... The GUC at Berkhampstead, Thames at Marlow and Cookham and the Tring Reservoirs.

Nce to hear from someone who has trodden the same banksides
Lived in Chesham from my arrival on this planet in 1957 until about 1983. Still used to visit my mum who was there until 2009.

My first ever carp came out of Skottowe's Pond and we would also sneak in and fish the Bury Lake ;)

Fished all of the above places and often, in my youth, got the bus to Windsor to fish the Thames over there or the train to Rickmansworth to fish the NHWAS Springwell lake and their section of the Colne.

There are three things that improve with age: wine, friendship and water sense, and there's no short cut.
