Over many years I have met a fair number of 'names' in the angling world but the following have really stood out, not neccesarily in angling terms but as people: Ivan Marks and Bob Nudd from the match world and Fred J Taylor. It was a great disappointment to me when I attended a meeting back in the '90's where Peter Stone was due to give a talk but unfortunately either he or his travelling companion ( was it John Everard perhaps?) could not make it due to illness. From everything I have read on here and elsewhere I'm sure he would have made my 'list'.
