Another river bream!

Post by Coral Maestro »

Anyone who says that bream don't fight should have been hanging on to the Rodrill while playing this fish. I thought I had a big barbel or carp on. It weighed 6lb 3ozs. It capped an excellent morning on the Vezere when I also had a 4lb barbel and 4lb chub.
It was also a good session for wildlife. I saw 4 white storks in a field on the way to the swim (first time I've seen them in this part of France), there was a black kite soaring overhead, a red squirrel exploring the far bank and a kingfisher flew downstream while I was enjoying a coffee.
And it was so nice to see the sun again!

What do they know of fishing who know only one fish and one way to fish for him?

Nice fish! Bream can and do fight, it’s just a rare event in my experience.

Nice fish. Looks like a nice spot to wet a line. I've had some good tussles with good sized bream in rivers. Far stronger than their stillwater counterparts.

Excellent all round i’d say - great stuff :Thumb:
No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man.
