Very nice indeed ! Can you tell us a little bit about its construction? Was it adapted from a more 'standard' rod taper? Is it impregnated or a dark flame? Is the handle cane or tubular? Thank you

The rod is made of standard dark baked tonkin bamboo, hollow built .the handle is made the traditional way with a strong whole cane and flor grade cork. The taper is new and was requested to be as close to an Avocet . DWW finds his Avocet most enjoyable. I am dead chuffed with the results.

Absolutely lovely, I hope the bike matches ! A 1960/70’s retro racer from the days of Eddy Merckx/ Tommy Simpson would fit the bill !

cracking rod and beautifully crafted - It will be interesting to see how it performs - and to see the results.

Andrew, I think ''dead chuffed'' is something of an understatement!! That rod is a work of art. Congratulations.

That looks lovely very nice indeed.
