I have an old ABU Ambassadeur 55 Garcia reel which until now I always considered it to be a cardinal 55. Are they the same reel or what are the differences please?

They certainly look very similar. However, Isn’t the Cardinal 55 branded ABU whilst the Ambassadeur 55 is later and branded ABU Garcia?

Mr Crabtree, not been on here for a considerable time so apologies for that, regarding your reel should the serial number be correct on your reel then its a sought after reel by collectors and the only difference compared to a Abu Sweden reel is the decals on the reel, all the parts are identical to a European reel.
