Is it your internet connection dropping out Nobby. Some routers lose connection occasionally and have to reconnect. You might not notice it unless you're loking, but if you're submitting a post it will disappear into the ether never to be seen again. :brickwall:

I would suggest writing up posts in word first and the cut and paste to the forum that way if it does bug out again you still have youtelnet text, do this until you find out what the actual issue is. :thumb:

I will try to add a photo later but the "shadow" left by the label on my PD Foravon is remarkably crown like.

Ah, I think that is indeed an FT Williams transfer, not a Pegley Davies. It certainly has the crown.

Have a look at the rod bag here...way down, Williams highlighted in blue.

I could only find rodbags, perhaps not surprising after Tonkin's post!!

I still think it may be a Pegley Davies Nobby.
What remains of the transfer I'm fairly sure shows the blue star. Nothing like the rod bag images. Shame Tonkin isn't around to confirm one way or another.

I have just seen this old thread and wondered if you could shed any light on the F.T.Williams Craftsmen range of rods?
