Help Please

Post by Tizer »

Good morning,Could you help me please,I bought a rod off the bay.....It was listed as a edgar sealey and sons rod,..It is 2 piece split cane,7ft 5ins.the tip and butt eye are lined .it has 6 eyes and maroon whips.the handle is 17ins long.............this is the thing,it has no makers name on it and the bag it came in is ESS, but it has 3 sections in it,I paid £20 and£10(£30)p+p,I don't think it is a sealey rod but the bag is ,which is obviously the wrong bag,I have looked at the Sealey section and could not find one similar,I will try to put some pics on here but in the meantime have you any thoughts please.

At 7 feet odd it is most likely to be a spinning rod.

I have seen a part of a Sealey catalogue on here

This is quite common to call the rod after the bag - you can sometimes get a bargain or if in a Hardy bag - a real duff one!

Use the tinypic with the green blob icon. It will resize them for you.
