Hardy Pefection and JJ Triumph

Post by Barbelseeker »

My collection of Hardy rods, about 15, is rather diverse and eclectic.

Reading through the 1937 catalogue last night, I could easily understand how to distinguish the "Perfection rod" (providing it has a decal stating such) and knowing it is a 8ft, through to a 11ft in 1/2 foot intervals - BUT - do the steel cored models, which carried a 15/- premium, marked as such on the decal. (if t has one).

The LRH fly rod, was made in 2 models, No 1 for Dry fly and No 2 for wet Ithink . (see below) Both are the same length and only fractions separate the weight. My question on this since I haven't one to refer too, are the rods marked as "LRH No. 1" or just "LRH"
