Corbett 9’4” Palonka Spinning Rod

Post by Rutland Rod »

This is the rod I bought at auction, it’s in really good nick and H13002 on the butt end dates it 1957, it looks hardly used and has the lockable ferrule with a spring loaded pin. The rings, lockable bands and butt cap are very attractive.ImageImageImageImageImage I’m looking forward to using it after Carp and it looks very suitable for Barbel.

Does the Corbett have a steel centre - either optional or all rods?

Very nice again, I have an old Hardy Salmon spinning rod which has the ferrule pin and the locking reel bands and a steel centre, it is lovely quality.. mine is late 1920's! Brilliant buy you have had :Thumb: :Hat:

Crikey David - haven’t you done well - first the James now this little beauty and both by the looks of it in fine fettle. Brilliant stuff indeed.

That looks like it would make a fantastic barbel rod, especially for the larger ones! Well done Dave. :Thumb:

I have a Corbett No2 and that has a steel centre.
