Peter Stone Ledgerstrike tip ring?
Hi,
I have just bought this from a well-know auction site (I'm hoping that it is as good as it looks)
Did they come with a threaded tip ring as standard?

The website doesn't state a threaded tip ring, just plain standoff Aqualite.

I believe the Split cane Ledgerstrike had a normal standard tip ring fitted and the Fibreglass Ledgerstrike had a threaded ring.

Re: Peter Stone Ledgerstrike tip ring?
All the ones I've had have had float rod type tip guides, some with a tapered tube and legs, some tubeless Hopton styled. The tip is a light enough to show bites in its own right and a couple I've restored with short tips were converted to screw in tip guides, perhaps the reason they had short tip sections in the first place. The 500 is a much better rod to swing tip with in my honest opinion, although that also didn't come with a threaded tip guide as standard. The Glass one is another very basic but extremely capable rod, must dig mine out this yer, maybe with the glass Hunter 1000 too

I have a Peter Stone Ledgerstrike 600 - like the 500/550 and 700 - 2 cane sections + butt. Has float rings - standoff - plus agate butt and tip but not a threaded tip.

Well it should be arriving in the New Year after it's restoration - looking forward to trying it out soon.
