in a nutshell no ,you can get a nice early 550 for around £130-150.
I would pay no more than about £120 for it ,now if it was a dennis pye that's a different matter all together.

Yes, - a restored Chapman sells from around £150.00 in my experience. If you reckon it's worth it, and the rod
is sound then the price is right. That's the kind of comment advice you see from forum members here regularly. :fishing1:

I would in good order, but that's me. However some folk know the price of everything and the value of nothing! It rather depends on what the individual feels is an affordable price for an item they desire. Just my opinion re values. There is usually quite some flexibility with ''values''.
