Not sure about it being a Medina. All of those I have seen and I own one have screw reel fittings. They have clear lined butt and tip rings but the intermediate eyes are not lined.
Looking at it and with that sort of length, it could well be a Burley which is often referred to a a pike rod.http://www.inthenetuk.com/pages/VintageRods_Dawsons.asp

I'd go for it being a Burley too.

My Burley has a chrome steel screw down reel mount, mid-handle, but then it might be a later one than this......brass reel mounts, particularly with a reel-foot recess in the lower one is very indicative of the Fifties, I think.
