Although I never fished the tidal Thames below Richmond, I would love to fish the Thames again. A TFF day out does sound great for those that would be interested, perhaps next summer we can arrange one!

I'd be up for a bit of that...if I can park my Landy.

Hi there Rob,

It appears that a few already are now interested in a TFF meet for next summer, I mentioned earlier that Strand on the green ( Chiswick ) could possibly be one venue but this is full tidal here and can take some getting used to if any haven't really fished tidal waters before,

I'm also seriously considering further upstream just a tadge above Richmond around the Pertersham meadows area at the end of river lane sought of area as this is all now semi tidal and is in between Teddington and Richmond half lock, the fishing in this particular stretch should be a lot easier for others :Hat:

That'll do me nicely Stuart, put my name down if this gets sorted please. :Hat:

Used to fish the tidal at Chiswick Eyot in the 1970's. Then mostly for eels, sticklebacks and the odd lost bream, with a few bleak thrown in. The river has obviously improved since then, as I remember watching a shoal of 'rubbers' swimming manfully upstream, with the tide and commenting to a mate:

'You don't see a shoal of those everyday!'

His reply was unprintable.

You had to laugh though.......
Say aye tae'a pie!
