I love finding this site...May Berth-Jones is my Auntie, sister of my mother. I had the pleasure of visiting her a few years ago along with my cousin Chris and had a delightful time chatting about her great fishing days with Uncle Jerry. She is an amazing and talented person and I hope to see her again soon. I live in Florida so I can't just pop in, but these pictures are wonderful and I might dig up a few more for you...and I shall tease her about someone having a crush on her.

Welcome to the forum Anne. :hat:
May is a registered member as well and Mark has had correspondence with her. Gateleaner met her a few years ago when she fished at Redmire again. I bet she has a whole host of interesting stories - maybe there's a book there somewhere....

Two photographs?

Post by Deaf Cat »

Help please!
Obviously the picture of May (and the fish) is the most important
but I can't even see the other - is the fish in it too large for my pc?

It does seem to take a while to load - not sure why.
Here it is again....

Well, Gentlemen, I didn't realize what a 'Femme Fatale' my Dear Auntie was...probably still is. Now I'm certain too that there is a book just waiting to be written...the sport...the artistry...the poetry...the passion...of...fishing...who knew! Thoreau was right (see above)
I will find those pictures and get back to you soon. This is marvelous!

Thank you all for the warm welcome and I will get back to you soon. I'm travelling and will be seeing my mother in a few days and we will be searching out more pictures of May and Gerry. Also sent a note to my cousins to check out this site, it's wonderful. Cheers!
