Barbless hooks

Post by Joe Croesor »

I'm currently working on replacing all of hooks and lures to barbless, partly it makes life a lot easier given the changes in Wales and for a while I've felt that I need to minimise unnecessary injury to the fish ( everything thing around me is C&R now.
I'd also like to renovate older lures.

Is there a reliable source of the Japanese style single lure hooks in the UK, Japanese fishing seems to have worked out effective single hooks ages ago

The brand Kamatsi rings a bell, or some similar sounding name.

Partridge do a barbless single lure hook. ILSY.
In order to shoot some close-ups, wildlife photographer ,the late Len Scapstillon, lured the orca to him by dressing as a seal.......
