Pike Fishing Drop Back Alarms

Post by Penninelad »

Can anybody recommend any reliable drop back alarms. I have been using two Zandaran 999 miniature alarms but I have been unable to source any replacement batteries

I have 3 Eddie Turner ones for sale. I have upgraded to 3 Billy's Backbiters which are probably the best on the market.

The PM said."How much did you want for them?" I seem to have problems sending PM's.Has anybody else had this problem?

I too have had issues with PMs but not to my knowledge since the forum was uprated by Mark. What kind of batteries do your existing alarms take Mark? Surely spares can be found?

The instructions say 9V but they seem to be about hearing aid battery size but LR44/A76's are too big and hearing aid batteries appear too small(one of the problems is you cannot get them out of the sealed packaging to see if they fit). Any ideas would be welcomed.

Old post I know but, do the batteries have ; 32A 9V marked on them? 22mm long and 8mm wide. If so let me know as I have a few I bought ages ago for their novelty value.
best regards,
Paul
