Should every boy's first fish be a perch?

Took my two out this morning and they caught their first perch, as it should be, in the park under the bridge on a worm!
Followed up by a great big brunch!

Definitely should be a perch. Mind that perch is a bit of a specimen for a first perch, I think the youngster is very lucky indeed, I think it was two years fishing before I caught anything close to that big.
