Abrace of feeding tench

Image
Not a fish was visible that first time I visited Beechmere; an utter
stillness brooded over the place and I felt the strange and sinister atmosphere which, so the story goes,
has been the cause of several suicides.’

I love that drawing. I think you have captured the way tench feed really well. Standing on their head and sending up those lovely tench bubbles. As someone who loves tench, lemonade bubbles like that appearing on the surface has got to be one of the most exciting aspects in angling. :Thumb:

where you find only elder trees, nettles and dreams. (BB - Denys Watkins-Pitchford).

Beautiful!
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete.

Lovely.

God never did make a more calm, quiet, innocent recreation than angling.
