Woolly Bear,
The nice thing about the rod is that I can flick a single mixer about 10 yards on 5lb line; when I need to stop a fish I just give it the butt and the fish comes to an immediate halt. Very versatile. Its got more stopping power than a Mk IV.

Try flicking a single mixer out on a plastic rod, impossible. Great write up, and pictures. Thanks.
Richard.

Nerves of steel with those action shots!
A fine day, and a rather nice way to finish it off!

What amazing action shots, Sodasurfer - I wouldn't have the iron nerve to take them, but they really show what it's all about!

I probably won't try the 'carp + photo' trick again, my iPhone nearly ended up in the water. Next time I will take a small tripod and video camera. It is much hotter today, I might go after some Tench this evening.

, must say very nice rod indeed , never seen a Sharps rod like that one with Carp on it
Less chance of it breaking too if its impregnated
