Famous Scales

This weekend I met up with Mike Wilson. Mike kindly brought along a couple of rather special items for me to see.

This first item is an original scale from Bob Richards record carp from Redmire in 1951...

The second item was from Richard Walker's Clarrissa, the scale was fouind in the bottom of the sack......

I think you'll agree that these are very important historical items and a big thanks goes out to Mike for providing the pictures to post up. :hat:

They are the angling equivalent of a religious relic, perhaps they should hang in the fisherman's chapel at Winchester Cathedral.

Again thank you Mike for letting SK put them on display here. Two items of angling history there. :thumb:
