Milward's Featherlite 10ft 6in

Post by AshbyCut »

I slipped a bid in last night, and woke up this morning to find I was the only bidder. Not everyone's choice of rod, I know, as they were apparently sold with Milward's advice not to catch anything big on them, but at that price (even if it needs new guides) it will go nicely with my smaller 'Intrepids' for still-water roaching and the like. More pictures when it arrives.

I quite liked the look of that one, you'll have a nice user there. I think "roach" rods like that are lovely rods and quite undervalued but will probably make a comeback when everybody gets bored with carp and barbel.

I saw and was tempted. I'm on the look out for a light float rod and thought that it might have fitted my needs. Alas I'm currently waiting for two rods through the post from eBay as it is, so I'll have to lay low for a week or two. Looking forward to seeing the pics.

I didn't think they'd made that rod at 10'6", only 12' and 14'.

Should be a great roach rod...it'll weigh nothing!

Do you know what, AC?

I went out and found the same Milwards catalogue all over again and was surprised to see the rod listed at 10' 6".

My life is but a circle of similar surprises.

Now where are my car keys?

Has anyone seen my trousers?

Who are you?
