Making Your Own Traditional Fishing Tackle
There is a new book out folks which is written by our very own Paul Duffield. There is also a website for the book which is now up and running at http://www.makeyourowntraditionalfishingtackle.co.uk/
The book is available from Amazon in both paperback and Kindle format, the links are as follows:
Paperback: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Make-Your-Tradi ... 947&sr=8-1
Kindle: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Make-Traditiona ... 947&sr=8-2
This is a great book full of information and ideas for making your own traditional fishing tackle. There are chapters for making floats, rod rests, bamboo float tubes, catapults and split cane lading nets to name but a few. There is even a chapter that lists the tools and techniques you will need to make the said items. Highly recommended.
As Paul says in the book, "The purpose of this book is to provide the reader with the information needed to produce a range of traditional fishing tackle items that not only work, but look good to".
This link http://www.makeyourowntraditionalfishin ... -the-book/ is a look at a few of the pages from inside the book.

Looks great Paul! How does it work on Kindle? Do the images display?
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete.

Thanks LuckyLuca. The images do display on a Kindle but they're better on the new Kindle Fire, on the original Kindle they show in greyscale.LuckyLuca wrote:Looks great Paul! How does it work on Kindle? Do the images display?
There are free Kindle reading apps for most platforms now, the Kindle PC reader works pretty well for desktops and laptops.
