Has anyone heard of/visited Banks and Burr of Rugby? I have Hardy Richard Walker No. 1 Carp rod with their sticker attached to it.
I believe the rod was manufactured in 1977, so they would have been in business until at least the late 1970's.

My fishing buddy uses them all the time. Dave Burr still runs the shop but is closing for good when he retires sometime around Christmas I believe. :Hat:

I still use them. Its a great little tackle shop. It's a shame that it will be closing, another one gone.

I've dealt with them and raised an eyebrow when I told them my name. They are long established.

Correction, planning to close next year, apparently. Dave Burr was a top match angler in his day winning the National with something like 78 pound of bream on the King's Sedgemoor drain, the highest ever winning weight at the time.
