550 refurbished

Post by Chelsea »

Big thank you to, Wal 🙌🏻🙌🏻

He brought my 550 back to life and I am over the moon with the result.

I asked him to make a few tweaks to the original spec. Agate butt ring, alloy reel bands and the cork ball changed for a cap and rubber button.

The pictures will tell you all you need to know about, Wal’s workmanship. Highly recommend!

All I can say is those Wildies better watch out… 😁

I'm intrigued by the two different colours of thread for the butt ring. Is this standard (I'm not familiar with those rods) or did you ask Wal to do it so that you knew which end of the section to plug into the handle?

Excuse my ignorance but what would you need the copper wire for? Extra strength, rheumatism, lightning conductor?

Glad you like it Dan. As always another nice bit of cane from Chapmans.
