Something of interest

I apologise if this has been posted before somewhere.
It's a short piece I found online which I found quite interesting.

It's got me thinking, I may just for a bit of fun fashion a Hazel rod/Whip for the river Wallington for the Jolly On The Wally

Is the Hazel whip to self flagellate your multiple personalities when Wally Boy catches you stretching his prize Gonks again.

Very interesting,I watched a programme the other night set in the Amazon rain forest.The locals were fishing for Piranha with nothing more than a bendy branch,line and hook.I may well fashion something for some summertime fun.
One of John Wilsons tv shows showed him fishing with a willow branch,he managed a couple of Chub,boy did he laugh!!

I remember that one he used slugs for bait

What would be the best way to attach the line to the end chaps? Any suggestions?

I would probably go all technical and fettle a paper clip or something similar,fix it to the tip and tie the line to it.
