Has the Intrepid Reels website finished ? I haven't found it recently. I recall one of our members was the proprietor ?

Hope not.
It has been of use to me in the past.

The Intrepid reel should still be alive and kicking
It has not been updated for a long while now but i keep paying.
That way i can keep my email address and still provide a small service for budding collectors.

Thanks for that. Great to see your site is still there. It seems to have completely dropped off google search though for some reason.

All the years I’ve used these reels I’d never noticed the different sized letters spelling Intrepid on the name badge until today seeing the photo of my all time favourite, the Classic.

I'm sure my first fixed spool was an Intrepid Truspin but I've never seen one listed.

My first reel was a Black Prince, which fell to bits quite quickly. I then had an Extra which I still possess, although I haven't used it for nearly 50 years. I graduated to Mitchells and never looked back.

My first proper reel was the Regent. I loved that reel and kept it for many years but it vanished along with some other treasures when my parents moved house.

Wal.

I have a few but just "Truspin". Intrepid was just a twinkle in K.P. Morritts eye when that came out. Seen a few from time to time on that auction website.
